First, "Welcome to the LES Family!"
Please know that you are well supported and if you feel unclear, confused and/or overwhelmed at any point please contact our secretaries Ms. Carrie and Ms. Eileen at (413) 243- 0336 and they will guide you to what needs to be done and/or who may help you best.
Essentially there are 5 important things to complete before your child attend LES for Kindergarten:
1.) Parent Workshop
2.) Call to Register your Child
3.) Go to Registration
4.) Screening (please bring your child and expect an hour to complete the process)
and
5.) Go to the 1 Orientation in May after school.
Details describing the 5 important events are below:
Parent Workshop is held on March 15 at 6:30 in the evening.
This workshop creates an opportunity for the parents and guardians to meet the Kindergarten teachers, principal and school nurse. (If possible, please keep your children at home as it is a long evening for them)
Presentations will include an overview of: what your child's daily routine will look like, first days of school procedures (drop off/pick up/buses... to snacks, etc.), and when/what you will receive over the summer.
The nurse will go over all necessary state/district required immunizations and medical records that the school will need for your child to attend LES. Any questions regarding allergies and/or other medical needs are encouraged at this time as well.
In the event you cannot attend the workshop, your packet will be mailed to you. However, it is strongly recommended that you attend in hopes to answer any questions that the packet cannot.
